More on My Classes

Horse Care Practicum:
Every day. Early. Basically like going to zero hour again. Each of the students are in charge 2 horses each. We are in charge of two horses, their stalls, a weekly heath evaluation, their turnout. Cleaning the stalls are actually really challenging. The LEC standard are really high, so we cannot leave a tiny clump of something, and have to sift EVERYTHING in the stall. Its made things stressful because its taking longer than I have time for and my classes after are really soon after and working with the van schedule had proved to be difficult. It also has been resulting in sore arms and shoulders and blisters, but its turning me into a tough horse girl which is what I want i guess. Its slowly getting better, though the class will always be fairly intense.
Riding Skills II:
FUN! I GET TO RIDE! Need i say more? I'm riding a horse thats a bit more speedy than mine so I had to be the boss, but my instructor seemed to think I was doing pretty well.
Honors Bio:
So far so good. I really like the teacher and she has made things interesting so far. Not too yet, at least not for now.
Entrepreneurship 201:
Pretty cool! The teacher is really awesome! Really funny and entertaining and very good at communicating. The textbook is a bit hard to read and takes time, but I only have to read a chapter a week (along with other assignments) but I don't think it will be too bad, if I dont let my work build up.
Honors English:
Alright for now, but has the potential to get intense. I have approximately 10 novels sitting on my shelf right now (one 998 pages) waiting to be read. But the papers and assignments are easier than the 10 page papers of my senior year ap english class.

Overall, I'm doing alright. A little stressed with my tight schedule. I don't get to go to the cafeteria for lunch, so I am arranging to pick up sack lunches. Catching the van is hard after my horse care class and riding class because you have to clean up and untack and stuff. Once I get the feel for things I think that it will get better!

Love you and Miss you all!!!!

  1. It sounds like your professors are really interesting from your blog and what you have said in person. I am glad you are pleased. You have finished your first week of college. Yeah! Love ya bunches, Mom

  2. Cool, sounds like you're taking some great classes! Horse Care Practicum sounds intense, but it does mean that you get to spend more time around horses, which is always a bright side, huh? Although it sounds like you've got quite a bit of reading to do for English. Good luck with that! Seems to me like you're in a lot of classes - at Knox, we only take three per term. 'Course, that probably means they'll be super-hard...

Oh, and I hope that you don't mind that I borrowed your idea and started up a blog here, too. ^^; I had been thinking that a blog would be useful, but then you went and proved it. Besides, now I'm sure to catch all your updates. Yay!

This is fun. I'm blogging! ha ha.
Glad you like you teacher. I am sure you are doing great with your horse. Need to have the blisters and sore muscles to get strong, darn, but necessary, huh?
We think of you every day, so very far from all of us.
    We love and miss,
    Love Grandma and Grandpa
